Abstract:
Big Data and Data Bases for Chemical Engineering and Process Safety
Big Data or Digital Plants are Buzz Words which are now very popular within the Chemical Engineering Community. In the manufacturing industries digitalization has already lead to new and more efficient production routes. In the Chemical Industries process automation is also very advanced. But Big Data is about more. It is the combination of Process Data, Customer Relation Data, Marketing Data etc., which can be used to create efficient and safe process routes along the entire value chain. Big Data in combination with sophisticated and high quality Data Bases can prevent losses of containment and improve the overall safety of our industries.
